Reporting

Overview

FileCatalyst provides Data and Bandwidth information in the FileCatalyst Server database that can be used to generate reports for specific users over defined periods of time. The Data file contains a record for every file transfer that takes place, both uploads and downloads.

The Bandwidth file contains records that include: transmit and receive rates, username, and a time stamp. The frequency of these records is determined by adjusting the report snapshot interval. If there are no active transfers at the time of the snapshot, there are no records written. If there is data in the snapshot, a record is written for each individual user that is currently transferring along with the sum of all transmit and receive rates for all users.
